Rockwood Archive

I'm launching a website – rockwoodarchive.com – a digital research library of corporate histories, data and people.

Rockwood Archive
A digital archive of corporate histories.

I have over 35,000 corporate reports. The majority pre-2000. And more than I can probably read in a lifetime.

More are coming in from the SEC, and at some point I'll need to make (many) trips to the National Archives for even more.

Much of what I'm collecting now is not digitized – like for the Pritzker project. So, that's step one.

LLMs are terrible at reading PDFs – primarily due to size and/or quality. It's also expensive. But, they're getting there.

I have a decent process now for extracting data from the reports and filings. That's step two.

And I'm turning that into a website. Step three.

Paid Rockwood Notes subscribers will be the first to get complimentary beta access to the website once it's launched.

And it's something I will be building out for decades.

More to come. Teaser below:
