A Pritzker Real Estate Endeavor
I've come across a couple cases now where the Pritzkers positioned themselves in a hot trending market, but where the structure seemed to protect the downside. This is a case study on a company they owned more than a quarter of which went through a land boom and bust, and ended with control of a prominent hotel. And yet, if you had tried to ride their coattails as minority public shareholders, there's a good chance you lost money.
